Sitting here, I can feel the tightness a little at the waist. If I had to do it again, I probably would have just ordered XL because they are elastic banded at the waist with a drawstring.

They are very comfortable for him and breathable. Highly recommend. They are lightweight and the quality seems like a mesh but durable, with movement. The feeling kinda Reminds me of his dry fit Huk shirts. $30 for multiple pairs is great value to me! Drawstrings and pockets! They are not see-through and the pockets are plenty deep enough that when I go to the store on my rare outings from my house that I can drop a credit card in one pocket and a phone in the other and have absolutely zero fear that I will lose anything.These are crazy functional and an absolutely perfect purchase for me
